Graphic Overlays
Our overlays and control panels are available in a wide variety of materials and inks to suit your design, to work well and look great. We are used to working with complex designs and exotic applications. Call us for information on how we can satisfy your requirements.
Midstate can produce your panel from blueprint or drawing to a tolerance of +/- .5mm (.02”).
Printing
Our printing is crisp and clear, and we take special pains to make sure the quality and consistency exceeds your expectations.
Inks are printed on the back of clear material so they remain legible and clear after long use.
The inks we use come in a wide spectrum of vivid standard colors. If you have a special color requirement, our trained personnel will mix to match either your color chip or your chosen PMS color.
Full color digital printing is also available for your overlays and control panels. Realistic photo-quality images will make your overlay stand out from the ordinary.
Materials
We use a variety of highly durable materials; most designed for heavy-duty outdoor use or any tough environment. Clear polyester laminate is also available for added durability.
We stock the top grade brand name polycarbonates and adhesives most commonly used by our OEM customers, and can bring in special materials. Surface textures can add scratch or glare resistance, and there are many to choose from.
Vinyls and application tape also come in a wide range of grades, with various adhesive tacks depending on your requirement.
Optically clear materials resist yellowing so your design shines through.
Materials available include:
- Polycarbonate – for extreme durability, high impact resistance and outdoor applications. We use GE Lexan brand. Available in velvet, suede and gloss textures and thicknesses from 5 to 30 mil.
- Polyester – economical, flexible and durable for indoor applications. Available in clear, white and also brush, matte and chrome finishes.
- Polyblend – combines the best properties of both Polycarbonate and Polyester.
- Adhesives – 3M brand is available in different adhesive strengths depending on application. Selective application allows areas of your control panel to be free of adhesive.
